5 countries · 13 days · grand expedition — safari, wildlife, culture, ocean
This isn't a «safari tour». It's an expedition through 5 countries of Southern and East Africa in 13 days. The route is designed so you see all the key contrasts of the continent: wildlife in the Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls, the Namib desert, the Indian Ocean, traditional villages.
For those who want maximum experience in one vacation. Tight schedule, but every day is a new world.
The route covers: South Africa (Cape Town, Table Mountain, Cape Point), Namibia (Namib Desert, Sossusvlei dunes), Botswana (Okavango Delta, Chobe safari), Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), Zambia (the other side of the falls). Internal flights included.
Approximate route and stops. You can zoom and pan the map.
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) — the main northern Tanzania safari airport. Not Dar es Salaam (coast). From Europe / Middle East — usually via Dubai (Emirates / Qatar), 12-15 hours total flight.
The "elephant park". Tarangire holds around 3 000 elephants plus 550+ bird species and giant baobabs. Route: Arusha → Tarangire — 2 hours by car, full-day game drive inside.
The main event. Serengeti — 14 700 km² (bigger than Switzerland), one of the most biodiverse parks in the world. Route: Karatu → central Serengeti via Naabi Hill gate — 4-5 hours with the driver.
A 19 km wide crater formed by a collapsed volcano 2.5 million years ago. Inside — a stable ecosystem with the highest large-mammal density in Africa: 25 000+ animals on 260 km².
A smaller park on the way back to Arusha. Famous for tree-climbing lions (unusual behaviour) and flamingoes on the lake.
Transfer to JRO. If your flight is in the evening you can fit in a half-day at Materuni waterfall (foot of Kilimanjaro, 40 min from Arusha) or the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre.
May-October — dry season in East/Southern Africa, best safari. January-March — wet season, cheaper, but rain and road risk.
21 days — €5,000-7,500 per person. Includes internal flights, guided safaris, lodges, route, tour leader. International flight and visa fees separate.
Depends on passport. Most travellers — eVisa or visa on arrival. We help with the whole process before the tour.
Tourist zones (national parks, lodges) are safe. Key — don't go off-route. With a local guide and full support — calm.
Yellow fever is mandatory (certificate required). Malaria — prophylaxis recommended. Full list 2 months before tour.
6-8 people. Minivan + internal flights.
Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), wildebeest migration in Serengeti/Maasai Mara (Aug-Oct), Victoria Falls, Ngorongoro crater, Okavango.
